In order to participate in a Tsunami Generation volunteer project you are required to raise or contribute a minimum amount.
On average, this amount is £900, however, you will find the exact amount within specific programme information.

The money you raise or contribute
is allocated to your programme
in the following ways:

Fundraising is hard work. It demands dedication and often means a commitment of several months, so be prepared. Remember that Tsunami Generation must receive your fundraising or contribution at least four weeks before you leave for your project, so the earlier you begin, the easier it will be.
Donors will want to know why they should sponsor you, so you'll need to communicate what you are doing, why you are doing it, what Tsunami Generation is, how your money will be spent and who will benefit. Remember to ask for any help you need.
Tsunami Generation programmes are not holidays, travel or
adventure experiences. It is a programme that you commit yourself to which involves a two-week project in the heart of a community in need.
As demonstrated in the chart above, when you leave the
community after two weeks, you will have created a legacy for the future of that community and we hope that you will be inspired and motivated to remain engaged.
